YZ Plus

Our ambition is to take the Youth Zone Model one step further…

The Youth Zone Model incorporates the opportunity for the facilities to be used for targeted information, advice and guidance projects delivered by the Youth Zone and key partner organisations.

In Lancashire, the potential for partnership working and targeted service delivery has been recognised and responded to in an unprecedented way.

As a result, Preston Youth Zone will also include a ‘Plus’ feature within the facility. The new Youth Zone will offer a wide range of first class extended services in one location. It will build on the existing work of Urban Exchange, a multi-agency partnership that delivers a range of specialist services to local young people, which is actively supporting proposals to develop the Youth Zone Plus.

A range of local partners have also confirmed their active support for the proposal to create a multi-agency partnership and registered charity aimed at developing and extending services for vulnerable young people in the city.

Partner organisations that have offered their specialist support so far include:

Central Lancashire NHS Trust
